We spoke to Jimena of Pali Healing Arts, a healing center based in Canberra, Australia. Pali Healing Arts specializes in helping people get re-energized and rejuvenated through Reiki, a Japanese energy technique.
Can you tell us a little about Pali Healing Arts, and about Reiki and the Angel/Oracle cards in particular?
Pali Healing Arts is all about bringing warmth and light into people’s lives. The world can be a tough place to live in and I want to provide a space where one can heal both physically and emotionally. Reiki, is a Japanese form of energy healing that restores balance to the body and facilitates healing. Angel/Oracle cards are gentle, helpful and effective tools for processing emotions and finding clarity.
What inspired you to get started with Pali?
Ever since I was a little girl I’ve felt drawn to the healing arts. After using them to overcome a serious health issue and an emotionally abusive relationship, I was determined to give back and support others through their own healing.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
That’s a tough one! I really enjoy watching my clients turn to jello after a Reiki treatment, and after 12 years of reading cards it never gets old to see someone in awe at the accuracy of their reading… but I truly love witnessing that moment when healing has occurred and my client moves in to a better space.
From your observations, what draws people to Pali?
From the feedback I’ve received, I’d say that people can sense that I’m not here to judge them or take their money. They can feel my genuine desire to help and support them.
What has been your most memorable experience so far this year?
Giving Reiki at one of Miami’s most esteemed Spas alongside my Sensei to a beautiful group that included my sister. I was honored, not to mention the night was breathtaking. We were outdoors, by the water and experiencing a full moon. There was an abundance of healing that night and I was humbled by the experience.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
As much as I would love to name an exotic location, I can’t WAIT to go home to Australia to treat my Mum who suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis <3
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
The beach is my sanctuary. It’s perfect for just about anything. Meditation, relaxation, food, fun, romance, family or friends. I’m also enjoying learning about ways to improve or add to my services. Right now I’m studying Iridology which works with the iris of the eye to identify potential health issues.
What are your 5 favorite foods?
I’m an absolute sucker for anything involving potato, goat cheese, watermelon, pasta and mangoes. YUM! 😀
